Our night at the Illuminations began in the daylight, with many of our attendees drawn down to the beach by Central Pier to capture the stunning sunset before gathering by the pier’s entrance to begin the night. The weather held up, with clear skies not getting too chilly.

We had turned up in anticipation of the photo opportunities the world famous Blackpool Illuminations would present as night begins and the lights switch on. Night shooting presented some challenges new to some, so this was a good time for people to give it a try, knowing some of the more experienced members would be there to give tips and advice. The group split up into smaller groups to walk along the strip to take their photos. Everyone seemed to enjoy the night, and came away with some excellent photos. Things are looking good for our upcoming competitions!
