Talking Heads: what other artists’ work can tell you about your creativity

Coming up on November 5th, Alison Bonner will be giving her thoughts and ideas with regards to boosting your creativity, in her show “Talking Heads”.

This is a talk, through the topic of portraiture, which reveals the benefits of looking at other artists’ work for inspiration.  The regular practice of looking at others’ work for inspiration and instruction is a long tradition in fine art studies. Now with the internet, it’s easier than ever before to access other work.  However, seeing doesn’t guarantee understanding, which is key to creativity.

This talk hopes to entertain you with a wide variety of painters’ and photographers’ work, both ancient and modern, while giving insights into the work to help you guide your future researches and enhance your own image making.
