Presenting the first YouTube offering from NFPS
This season 2017-18 has seen a change to some of the rules regarding competition entries. The L&CPU standard sizing has been increased to 1200px by 1600px for digital images, which we have also adopted. In addition to this, and after the success we had last season with the Seasonal PDI competitions, there have been some changes to the number of entries per competition.
Gordon is a man with many roles and distinctions in the world of photography: President and Treasurer of Chorley Photographic Society, Treasurer and former President of the L&CPU, Chairman of the BPE and, above all, the new President of the PAGB itself. So we were lucky and privileged to have such a busy man in our midst.

Our second guest speaker of the season, Wayne Paulo, a professional sports photographer with bags of enthusiasm, experience, and regular member at North Fylde Photographic Society, presented an auto-biographical story of his life working as a sports photographer.
In our first meeting of the new season we were joined by our first guest speaker Stephanie Winnard, who presented “In the South Atlantic”. Stephanie’s talk took us on an adventure on the islands of South Georgia and the Sandwich Islands, a British overseas territory in the southern Atlantic Ocean, as she talked about her time spent working there with the British Antarctic Survey.
